As our customer, we consider you one half of a great partnership! To make your eCommerce project as successful as possible, we kindly ask for your active participation in the items listed below.

eCommerce Customer "TODO" List:

Project Estimate Phase

  • Register domain name(s).
  • Communicate all project requirements and specifications.
  • Review estimate for accuracy.
  • Sign and date project agreement.
  • Sign consulting agreement.
  • Agree upon start date.
  • Provide deposit.

Project Work Phase

  • Provide username and password of hosting company.
  • Discuss look and feel for design mockups.
  • Provide any logo or graphics files.
  • Approve design mockups.
  • Provide all website text that you will not be entering yourself.
  • Provide URLs of external sites to which you wish to link.
  • Discuss search engine keywords, page descriptions and page titles.
  • Provide any shipping, return, privacy or other related policies.
  • Enroll in payment gateway(s) or merchant account(s).
  • Enter data for products and product images.
  • Provide payment gateway(s) or merchant account(s) logon info.
  • Sign up for hosting plan with a service provider.
  • If needed, purchase SSL certificate from service provider.
  • Provide username and password information for hosting plan.

Project Wrap Up and Rollout Phase

  • Provide username and password of domain registration.
  • Test website and report any errors.
  • Submit test transactions/purchases.
  • Validate any new e-mail addresses.
  • Review website for spelling errors or missing elements.
  • Verify your website's payment or merchant program compliance.
  • Schedule website use training for yourself or employees.
  • Approve website for launch.
  • Make final payment.

Immediately Post-Rollout

  • Test live website and report any errors.
  • Submit live order(s).
  • Verify order transactions appear in gateway or merchant account.
  • Become familiar with web hosting support information.
  • File away any new usernames or passwords in a safe place.
  • Have a launch party!
